WILLIAM NORRIS, PRINCIPAL

William relies on his extensive experience in commercial real estate as the Principal of Norhaven Partners.   His track record includes the development of more than 1,750 multifamily units in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.  Prior to founding the company, he worked with a family office overseeing the development of several boutique hospitality projects and a regional apartment developer.

He began his career as an architect, working for Niles Bolton Associates, overseeing the design and construction of thousands of apartments in multiple states.  William made the transition to commercial real estate in 2012 when he joined Marx|Okubo, a national consulting firm, where he focused on Owner’s Representation services for one of the firm’s largest institutional clients.  

William earned his MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Georgia State University and completed his Bachelor of Architecture at Southern Polytechnic State University.  He is a licensed architect and has been recognized with multiple professional awards. 

 

GORDON SMITH, DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Gordon is a Development Director for Norhaven Partners.  He is responsible for day-to-day oversight of Norhaven’s active developments and sourcing and underwriting new pursuits.  In his role, Gordon manages relationships with capital partners, municipal stakeholders, and third-party vendors and contractors.

Before joining Norhaven Partners, Gordon managed the development of Build-To-Rent communities in the Southeast for a private firm and also worked on the development team for a national student housing apartment developer.  He has worked on residential projects in a wide variety of markets, including Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and California.

Gordon earned his MBA from Rice University and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Washington and Lee University.  He enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife and two young children.
